Champagne glasses FAQs dublin photographer

How would you describe your style?

Relaxed, unobtrusive, journalistic in nature.. I try to let the magic unfold naturally. If I see two people chatting and laughing, I capture those amazing expressions and will never interrupt and ask, "Can I take your photo?".

I do believe that there is a time and place for beautiful and casually posed images of the couple together, so I'm more then happy to offer advice and tips to help a couple who aren't used to standing together in front of a camera. Many of the portrait images I take of the bride and groom are lovely natural shots of them interacting together- chatting about what a wonderful day it is or holding hands while going for a stroll.

We feel a bit awkward in front of a camera?

Many couples say this to me before the wedding. My style of photography means I won't be in your face all day. I will blend into the background and you won't even notice me most of the time.  Occasionally I might ask you to hold a pose if I see something I like but that's all.  By the time your wedding date comes along we will have met and chatted about your wishes for the photography so I will be aware of types of shots you would like to get.  Of course if you would like some practice in front of the camera, I also offer engagement shoots which are a great opportunity to practice those smiles!

Do you take posed family shots?

Absolutely! Almost everyone will want a least a few of these. I always try to get them done as quickly as possible (15-20min) so you can get back to enjoying the day. I recommend giving me a quick list with any posed shots you'd like to get during the day.

How long will it take to get my photos?

Normally within 4 weeks. At peaktime 4-6 weeks.

How many photos will we receive?

This depends on many things- the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events etc. The average for a full day wedding is between 400- 600 images.

Will my photos be edited?

Yes, absolutely.  All the images you receive will be professionally edited to the highest standard in a style similar to the images on my website

And will they have watermarks?

No, you will receive images without any watermarks so you are free to print them as you wish.

Are you insured?

Yes I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance?

Do you travel?

Yes. I love travelling the country and seeing all the stunning venues the country has to offer. An additional travel charge may apply if the venue is far from Dublin.

What time do you usually start your coverage on the wedding day?

Typically 2-3 hours before the start of the ceremony but I can begin at a time to suit your plans.  If necessary, extra coverage can be added to your package so you don't miss any action!

How do I secure my date in your diary?

If you decide you would like me to photograph your wedding day I will send you a contract for you to review and I would ask for a €500 booking fee.
